Work Package 3
Work Package 3 – Infrastructure upgrade and state-of-the-art DTN testbed

The third work package involves infrastructure upgrade at the three laboratories. Acquisition and integration of equipment is required for the establishment of a distributed testbed, related to Delay-Tolerant Networking, in a dedicated lab. Due to its distributed nature, the testbed includes parts situated at the cooperating research institutes (DUTH-Xanthi, ESA-Darmstadt and MIT-Boston). Moreover, the acquisition of specialized software, e.g. simulating planet movement, will enhance research capacity of the group and its competiveness among other research institutes.
